 Your Mercedes has (4) upper control arm inner bushings for the inner section where the control arm attaches to the body.  Your car also has (4) upper control arm sway bar or outer bushings where the sway bar attached to the control arm. This is actually easy to do an you can look at my pictorial on how to replace the upper control arm.

 If you upper control arm ball joint is worn or the boot is cracked and torn, then you will need to replace the whole am.  The upper ball joint is not replaceable.  The upper control arm comes with the inner bushings already in the arm.  All you need is the 2 outer bushings.  This is actually easy to do an you can look at my pictorial on how to replace the upper control arm.

If the you have got more than 100k on your car, then its a wise move to replace the trailing arm bushings.  Each control arm takes (2) bushings for a total of (4) for both rear control arms.

Russell's Review of Rear Rear Sway Bar Link Kit:

The sway bar links mount from the torsion bar to the lower A arm.  When they wear they will give you a "clunk" when you go over bumps.  Its can drive you nuts.  The original ones are plastic and do a great job, but they don't last forever.  Easy as pie to replace!

Sold in sets of (2) links.  Brand new and ready to install.

The guide rod mount locates the lower A arm on the front of the car to the body via the guide rod. When it gets worn it will cause all sorts of suspension and steering problems.  It will clunk going over bumps and cause the A arm to wallow around.  You have one mount on each side of the car.
